The Autumn Learning Bundle: What to Print First

A bundle can be overwhelming. Here is a simple order to print and use the autumn pages so nothing sits untouched in a folder.
Table of contents
Do not print the whole thing
A bundle is a library, not a workbook. Print five or six pages, use them up, then print the next set. A thick stack of untouched paper makes everyone feel behind.
Start with coloring
Coloring is the easiest entry point and needs nothing but pencils. One autumn coloring page on the table buys you a calm ten minutes and gets the bundle into the routine.
Then one puzzle
Choose a single puzzle page that matches your child today, not the hardest one in the file. If it goes well, print two next week.
Then a sorting or counting page
Autumn leaves, acorns and pumpkins are made for sorting by size, colour and kind. Use real objects next to the page if you have them. A handful of dry leaves costs nothing and doubles the value of the paper.

Autumn Puzzles and Games Hard
Expert mazes, logic grids, and advanced word searches with an autumn theme, ages 6-8+.

A flat maze or word search in the bag is the difference between a quiet appointment and a loud one. Print a spare set and keep it in the glove box.
Store it so it gets used
A clipboard on a shelf beats a folder in a drawer. Clip the current five pages and change them when they are finished. If it is visible, it happens.
When the season turns
Put autumn away when it stops feeling current and bring out winter instead. Seasonal material works because it is seasonal. Do not stretch it past its moment.
