About this printable

Shapes and patterns are the foundation of geometry and early algebra, and this 24-page printable book makes both feel like play. Children learn to name and trace shapes, count their sides, combine them into new shapes, and then find and continue patterns in colour, shape and number.

The book moves from finding shapes in a picture to building with them, and from simple colour patterns to growing number patterns. Every page has a clear example at the top, so a child knows exactly what to look for before starting, and blank rows at the end invite them to invent their own pattern for you to finish.
