1. Information We Collect
This app contains no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no third-party advertising or tracking.
YHO is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal information necessary to operate the App.
Information stored locally on your device:
- Child profile names and avatars you create
- Learning progress and star counts
- App preferences and settings
- Parental PIN (stored locally, never transmitted)
Information collected through Supabase authentication:
- Email address (for account creation only)
- Encrypted password
We do NOT collect:
- Full name, physical address, or phone number
- Precise location
- Photos, camera access, or microphone recordings
- Social media information or device contacts
2. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
YHO complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All account creation is intended for parents or guardians aged 18 and over.
Child profiles created within the App (names, avatars, progress) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
Parents may review, update, or delete their account and all associated data by contacting us at support@yho.app.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the App
- Authenticate your account
- Process your one-time purchase via Apple App Store
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the App experience
We do NOT use your information for:
- Targeted advertising
- Selling to third parties
- Building behavioral profiles
- Any commercial purpose beyond operating the App
4. Payments
YHO is a one-time purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. YHO does not collect, store, or process any payment card information. There are no subscriptions or recurring fees.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
We share limited information only with:
- Apple (App Store payment processing)
- Supabase (authentication only, encrypted)
All third-party providers are contractually required to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information including:
- Encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS)
- Encrypted authentication (Supabase)
- Local device storage for child profiles
- No server-side storage of child activity data
7. Data Retention
Account data is retained until you delete your account. Child profile data is stored locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App or delete the profile.
You may request deletion of your account data at any time by emailing support@yho.app.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Withdraw consent at any time

9. International Users
If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy and through the App.
